Summer on the island
long beaked birds
prod the ground
and the grass is running
*
Near the sea
arctic orchids
too early for cloudberries
television crew
circling the hotel
and the grass is running
*
Red light on
The Mermaid calls
open for ice cream
seagulls swoop
over the cemetery
and the grass is running
*
Friday
clean house day
rhubarb soup
baby crow scratching
in the chimney pipe
plop he drops down
stares through grate window
and the grass is running
